“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.”
—Viktor E Frankl
Therapy style
When clients show up I want to be a collaborative and warm guide towards a life worth living. Client and therapist alliance is the #1 indicator of therapeutic success, so I focus on building and maintaining relationships with clients to understand them as whole people, not just as a series of symptoms. Life presents a variety of challenges for us all, and we have the capacity to use those challenges to grow and improve ourselves.
I use warmth and humor to engage my clients while helping them develop tools to build the world they want to live in. No matter the state you are currently in, I am equipped to meet you, lay out issues, carve out goals, and forge a clear path forward. I consider myself an Existential-Humanist therapist, which means we will focus on creating meaning through exploring emotions, passions, goals, and how we cope with roadblocks. I am bilingual, bicultural, and bisexual, so I understand the feeling of having a foot in both worlds. I specialize in trauma through a cultural lens and I am experienced in helping clients navigate through different cultures while remaining true to themselves.
While I have expertise in the therapy room, you are the expert in yourself, and have the resilience within to build a version of yourself to be proud of.
I graduated from The University of Northern Colorado in 2017 with degrees in both psychology in classical voice and received a Masters Degree in International Disaster Psychology in 2019 from the University of Denver. I see clients in person at our Denver location, and am also available to meet virtually as needed.
Please give me a call and we can discuss how I can help you on your therapeutic journey.
