From specific issues to life-long struggles, individual therapy provides privacy, safety, and focus on the change you are needing. We have a huge range of specialties. Click on our names to read more about them, or use the search box on the left side of the screen to pinpoint those of us who talk about your concerns. Try "perfectionism" or "affair" or "anxiety" and see what comes up! Not finding what you are looking for? Just call us.
It can be hard to really hear each other. And it can feel impossible to make anything change if your partner is too stubborn, closed, or defensive. Couples therapy can open up the two-way street to make things more fair, softer between you, and safer so that more respect and trust can develop. We can also help new couples set up good habits for their maturing relationship. Each of us has a different style (more assertive, or more structured, or more creative). Read about each of us and feel free to call us for a conversation so you can get more of a sense of which of us might be the best match.
Group therapy is powerful, intense, challenging, and much different than individual therapy. We practice a few different kinds of group work: process groups, support groups, and structured groups. Click here to open DenverGroupTherapy.com, our dedicated group therapy website!
children & family therapy
For children as young as 3 years old who need to work through their struggles in play therapy, or sibling and parenting problems (Amy Stambuk) or for adult families who are finally ready to do the grueling work of working through old wounds and issues (Jason Seidel), we have a lot of experience and creative approaches to helping people in huge, life-changing ways. Read on, and call us to talk about what's troubling you.
We will work with you and your child to figure out the most effective way to do therapy. Do we need the parents very involved? Do we need to do some family sessions as part of treatment? Or does your teen need a very private therapy experience, like any adult would have, in order to really open up? We are trained and skilled at giving adolescents room to be real, get support, and get through this challenging time, without pushing too hard and making therapy a waste of time. An adult who isn't a parent and isn't pushing an agenda but listens and cares is a beautiful thing. Just ask your teen!
addictions and substance abuse
Each of us has a different approach, but what we have in common is that we know that addictions come in many forms and many degrees of intensity. We help people free themselves from problematic behaviors, alcohol, cannabis, opiates, cocaine, shopping, gaming, porn, nicotine, and other things that can take us over and cause major problems or death. We get that addiction is complex and agonizing. We take you seriously and are ready to help you do the hard work. Are you in?
